The I-102/ I-101 detectors are designed for quick and simple information acquisition from a remote IRVIS gas metering device (IRVIS-RS4, IRVIS-RS4M, IRVIS-RS4-Ultra, IRVIS-RS4M-Ultra, IRVIS-Ultra). The detectors provide not only remote monitoring of current values and archives from the gas meter, but also automatic notification (including by SMS) of personnel about problems in gas accounting. This is a very useful function, because commercial losses from an untimely failure of the metering device or an abnormal operating mode of gas equipment can be significantly higher than the cost of both the detector and the metering device itself. Various services of cellular (GSM) telecom operators are used to transmit information: SMS messages, e-mail and modem communication (CSD, GPRS). This makes it possible for each task to choose the optimal method: the simplest and least expensive, both in terms of payment for communication traffic and in terms of staff working time. The I-102 detector was developed taking into account three years of operating experience of the I-101 detector – the reliability of receiving information has been increased, added: the ability to connect to the gas metering device via the RS232 interface; the ability to configure from a computer via USB; the possibility of remote software updates. The interchangeability of the detectors I-101 and I-102 is provided for connection to the device and control commands.
