Ultrasonic flow meter-gas meter IRVIS-RS4-Ultra is a complete, complete unit of commercial (technological) gas metering, certified by the State Standard bodies.

The principle of operation of the IRVIS-RS4-Ultra gas flow meter is based on measuring the time difference between the passage of pulses of ultrasonic vibrations in the direction of movement of the gas flow and against it.
The principle of operation of the device allows you to measure gas flow in both forward and reverse directions (reverse flows, example of CNG).
To bring the measured volume of gas to standard conditions according to GOST-2939, signals from built-in pressure and temperature sensors are used.

The absence of moving parts subject to wear ensures high stability of the metrological characteristics of the IRVIS-RS4-Ultra meter during operation. The use of an ultrasonic signal, a mathematical filter developed by NPP Irvis ensure high measurement accuracy, reliability, noise immunity.
Due to the fact that NPP "Irvis" has an exemplary metrological base that provides the possibility of calibration of devices in the entire range of flow rates, temperatures and pressures, as well as to investigate devices when measuring pulsating gas flows, devices manufactured by NPP "Irvis" do not have an additional error due to differences in calibration conditions and operating conditions of flow meters-gas meters "IRVIS-RS4".

 

 

Primary converter.

• The primary converter is a section of a pipeline of a special shape that optimizes the flow, in which an ultrasonic flow meter, a primary pressure converter, a primary temperature converter, and a computer board are installed.
• Primary absolute pressure converter, thermocompensated over the entire operating temperature range.
• The primary temperature converter is platinum thermal resistance.
• The computer board uses three measured signals to determine the current volumetric flow rate reduced to standard conditions, accumulates the value of the past gas volume in non-volatile memory as a cumulative total. Information about the measured parameters and the accumulated volume of gas from the primary converter is transmitted via a digital communication line to a specialized recorder - "BIP" (interface and power supply unit).

 

 

The registrar.

• The registrar archives the measured parameters (archive depth is 120 days), generates a report sheet, provides power to the primary converter via intrinsically safe electrical circuits.
• Up to four primary converters can be connected to the recorder.
• There are several ways to remove information from the registrar: LCD indicator, Printer connection, using a FLASH card, via a standard RS-232 and 485 digital interface
• It is possible to connect two independent telemetry systems to the registrar at the same time. For example, a consumer and a gas supplier.

To eliminate the additional error caused by a change in the composition of the working gas, the possibility of changing the composition of the gas entered into the device's memory is realized.
This function is protected from unauthorized access by a password of the supervisory organization or a sealed switch.
